The Triple F #2 – Evan Garcia, Melanie Seiler, Eric Jackson, Kayak Kevin
by Brian Vincent
Every week I will scour the inter-webs for cool videos, produced by people using the awesome products we sell. Since we stock a dizzying array of different vendors, we have a wide selection to choose from, featuring a lot of talented folks. It ought to be fun and I hope you enjoy seeing sweet paddle-sports items in action. Welcome to Friday's Fresh Features!
This week we start with The Puma!
Evan Garcia of Substantial Media House grabs the third descent of the Salto de la Puma, the tallest waterfall ever run in Chile. This is the story. Amazing footage.
Featured in the video:
LiquidLogic Remix 69 Kayak - A sweet whitewater rig, designed with the volume to handle big drops. At 100 feet, The Puma, was a little more than just a big drop.
Werner Whitewater Paddles - A good stick goes a long way when your carving out your line. Check out the Werner blades.
Sweet Protection Helmets - No matter the size of your next drop, be sure and protect your noggin. Sweet Protection makes some sweet lids.

Next up, Eric Jackson, steep creeking in Mexico with a Phantom Quad camera copter. It's awesome. Jackson Kayak is good at three things; living the dream, designing sweet boats, and making it all look easy.
Featured in the video:
Jackson Kayak Karma - The Karma is fast, stable and has a bow designed to clear anything.
Kokatat - PFD's, dry tops, and dry suits, designed to help you play hard.
Third on the list, a short vid of Melanie Seiler, surfing the Dries in beautiful West Virginia on a SUP. If you don't know about the Dries or WV Sup style, then you need to educate yourself. There is a rumble in the jungle!
Featured in the video:
Werner SUP Paddles - Werner blades are showing up on a lot of waves in our area. From RVA to WV and beyond, the Werner sticks, and those paddling with them, are tearing it up!
Fourth on the list, Retro Day Video, with Ben Moore and the RVA Crew. This is an awesome clip. Not only does it showcase a killer community, but it show the fantastic urban whitewater on the James River in Richmond. As we look to 2014, one of our goals, at ARC, is to increase our presence in RVA. We want to get in the mix and start celebrating River Town USA with everyone! And videos like this really get me psyched!
Featured in this video:
A ton of different SUP boards, so we'll tag our whole line-up - Stand Up Paddleboards
We also want to highlight Ben Moore, a great ambassador to RVA whitewater, and a BIC SUP athlete - BIC SUP Boards

Last on our list, but not least, is Kayak Kevin. Kevin is likely to be a regular on our Triple F post. He makes great videos, he's local and most importantly, he has long proven the many accolades heaped upon him are warranted. He is firing up a video Podcast and here is the Intro. Kayak Kevin keeps it real, rocking it grassroots style and catches big fish!
Ocean Kayak / Old Town - Kevin paddles the Trident series from Ocean Kayak and the Predator series from Old Town. If "Red Drum Jesus" likes them, you should probably take a look. ;)
Thanks for checking in! Keep getting after it, filming your exploits and honing your skills, we might post your video next. See ya on the water!
