Friday’s Five Finds: Sightcasting to Stripers, Paddling With a Purpose, Offshore Hatteras Mothership Trip, Kayak Kevin Podcast in Farmville, and Mothership Trip #2
This Friday I picked a little mix of blogs and videos. These are the things that caught my attention this week.
First up: Rob Choi, our local RVA angling assassin, posted a great video of him sightcasting to stripers on the Eastern Shore. Rob paddles for Ocean Kayak | Old Town Canoes & Kayaks | Werner Paddles | Kokatat | YakAttack. He's always producing high quality content. Rob's paddling his Trident 13 in the video. Stay in the know at Angling Addict.com and check out his slick video below:
Second up: I'm a sucker for a good heartwarming story and here is a quick post from Ken Hoeve over on the Jackson Kayak page that fits the bill. Check out Ken's meaningful adventure in the Dynamic Duo. Below the picture is a link to the blog post from Ken.

Third up: Dan Smullen, of YakAttack, recently posted a blog piece on the TKAA forums. It's a fine piece of adventure about a mothership trip he and some other fellas took with Rob Alderman of Outer Banks Kayak Fishing. Dan is paddling an Ocean Kayak Trident 13 Angler and snagging a quality fish! Look for the link to the post below the photo.

Fourth up: We had our big Demo Day on June 7th. The night before Kayak Kevin invited me to join him, Lee and Richie Bekolay on the Podcast. All of these guys paddle for Ocean Kayak/ Old Town Canoe & Kayak. I had a great time hanging with the guys and talking fishing. The podcasts are recorded live, unedited, real conversations, about kayak fishing, by guys I respect. The conversations are alway loose and fun, like campfire banter after a long day of catching 'em. So check out the video of the Podcast below.

Fifth up: Mark, of Mytoyzfishing Custom Rods, went on a mothership trip with a group of guys who once again teamed up with Rob Alderman, of Outer Banks Kayak Fishing. These mothership trips have definitely peaked my interest. Mark looks like he had a blast and I enjoyed seeing his first report. Mark was paddling a Wilderness Systems Ride 115, which Rob uses almost exclusively at Outer Banks Kayak Fishing. You can find the link to the full post below the photo.
Things are really heating up for the summer season. i love reading all the reports and seeing everyone out there getting after it. If you have any great trip reports, videos or photos you think I should see and share, post them on our Facebook Page here..
