Box Monster Gives Birth to Ugly Boxes
You don't want to see the Grande Box Monster!
Recently you may have received one of these:
It is an Ugly Box birthed from the Mini-Box Monster at Appomattox River Company. We've recently started labeling our shipping boxes after receiving a few complaints, about the less than new appearance, of our packaging. This was the first iteration of the Ugly Box sticker. We have a room dedicated to reusable boxes for shipping. They come in from our vendors, employees, etc and we use them to ship out your goods. It feels like the right thing to do, even if they sometimes look a little busted. We hope you don't mind and we've created this little sticker to explain why we do it.
It does get a little messy in the Box Monster room, but we have a special place in our heart for every Ugly Box that is birthed from those walls.
All of the plastic, bubble wrap and felt used in our kayak and canoe shipping department is also recycled. When boats come to us, we strip the packaging and use it to ship your boats to you.
We hope this explains why sometimes it looks like a 5 year old wrapped your purchase. Some of us are not very good at gift wrapping. ;)
Thanks for your understanding and be ready, the holidays are fast approaching, and more Ugly Boxes from the ARC Box Monster are sure to hit the road, in route to a new home.
* All jokes aside, we take great pride in our shipping abilities. We try to be as fast and safe as possible, and we have a great track record of doing so. Â Here is a great video showing a giant Esquif Rangley Canoe being wrapped to ship.
