A few weeks ago, we received six giant cardboard boxes on a truck at Appomattox River Company. Each box took seven men to move into the warehouse and seemed large enough to fit at least two average-sized kayaks. Inside each box was the 360 Angler kayak manufactured by Blue Sky Boatworks. Although the boat may be intimidating upon first glance, we would like to tell you how this may be the boat you're looking for.

At 13 feet long and weighing in at 170 pounds (including the seat and flex drive), the 360 Angler is specifically designed for fishing with its comfort, stability and ability to reach shallow bodies of water that you couldn’t reach in your average kayak. Plus, considering its 500 pound weight capacity, storage space and rod holders, this boat has plenty of room for a cooler, snacks, tackle boxes and anything else you may need during your paddling venture. It also comes with gear tracks for further customization.

The patent-pending Captain’s Seat is what gives this boat its name. In addition to comfort, the seat contains a multitude of features such as 360 degree rotation, raise/lower, recline and steering. In short, the comfortability of the 360 Angler will make your fishing trips that much more enjoyable.

One final feature that is worth mentioning on the 360 Angler is the patent-pending Flex Drive designed by Jackson Kayak. The drive allows for hands-free forward and reverse propulsion and is made with a daggerboard-protected tri-prop system for superior performance and durabilty to maneuver through any obstacles. This pedal system is easily deployed with the flip of a lever that is attached to the seat.
