The Discovery 158 runs a shallow-arch bottom with straight sides and moderate rocker, a combination tuned for stable, predictable handling and steady tracking. Three-layer polyethylene built tough, rugged, and unsinkable
The hull is formed from extremely durable three-layer polyethylene, the Old Town 3-layer process that sandwiches a buoyant foam core between two layers of poly. The result is an impact-resistant, rotomolded shell made to shrug off rocks, ramps, and years of hard use. It is built to be tough, rugged, and unsinkable.
