The P&H Scorpio II LV CX is one of the most trusted and fully featured plastic sea kayaks on the market — and for good reason. Built for expedition-ready durability, it shares many design features with the celebrated Cetus but in a tough, worry-free Corelite X construction that handles rocky launches, rough landings, and hard use without hesitation. The MKII brings refined hull geometry for improved stability, a more user-friendly deck layout, and sail-ready features that have earned the Scorpio a loyal following worldwide.
Hull & Construction
- Corelite X construction — 3-layer plastic with a foam-like core sandwiched between two high-density PE layers for a stiffer, lighter, and more durable hull with performance closer to composite
- MKII hull refinements — improved stability and a re-profiled cockpit area for a more comfortable seating position
- Lowered rear cockpit rim — makes rolling easier and simplifies re-entry after a swim
Skudder Control System
- Skeg + rudder in one — works as a skeg for wind/wave control or as an under-stern rudder that performs efficiently even in rough conditions
- Partial or full deployment — control located just forward of the cockpit; rudder steered via adjustable foot pegs
- Simple, robust mechanism — hidden on the back deck but easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance
- Sail-ready — a must-have feature if you plan to sail your Scorpio (Skudder foot kit sold separately)
