With symmetrical 3" rocker and a high-volume, large-capacity hull, the B 17 is Northstar's most versatile design. It handles predictable back ferries in moving water yet stays safe and stable when you are day-paddling the local river.

Innegra-and-Aramid layup built to take a beating
The IXP layup pairs substantial Innegra with an inner blanket of Aramid in a full wet vacuum-bag construction. Innegra delivers excellent impact absorption, great flex and good abrasion resistance for a durable, reasonably light canoe.

Perfectly sized for four barrels or packs on an expedition, the B 17 carries a month in the wilderness or floats the whole family on a lazy afternoon. Standard bronze-anodized aluminum trim keeps it ready for hard use.

Outfitted for the carry and the open water

The Northstar B 17 is Northstar's most versatile design — part Bomber, part Ted Bell 17, part Bear 17, and all capable. It handles a month in the wilderness just as well as a family float on the local river. Load it with four barrels for an expedition, or enjoy its safe, stable reassurance on a day paddle with the kids, the dog, and Mom landing a walleye. Whatever the adventure, the B 17 is ready.
Built in Northstar's IXP layup — substantial Innegra with an inner blanket of Aramid. Innegra delivers excellent impact absorption, great flex, and good abrasion resistance. Multiple layers of Innegra with no foam core or ribs create a canoe capable of extended river tripping and expedition whitewater. Full wet vacuum bag construction produces a durable, reasonably light hull — an extremely tough lamination with far better performance than Royalex. Exterior resin coated (no gel coat) to handle substantial impacts without chipping or cracking.
