About this accessory
The YakAttack TowNStow Scupper Kayak Cart is a collapsible, tool-free scupper cart built for sit-on-top kayaks with reinforced scupper holes — such as Hobie® models. Push a button or turn a knob and it assembles, adjusts, or collapses in seconds. Built from UV-resistant injection-molded polymers, anodized aluminum tubing, and stainless steel hardware for years of use in harsh outdoor and marine environments.
Designed for transportation at walking speeds only. Not intended for use with motor vehicles, ATVs, bicycles, or any method exceeding 5 mph.
Bunks & Adjustability
Four firm, flexible round rubber bunk pads provide fore and aft hull support — going beyond the traditional scupper cart that only supports weight at the scupper radius. The bunk pads conform to the hull's shape, keeping the scupper post in place and preventing racking. Bunk width is infinitely adjustable from 6.5" to 14.5" to accommodate a wide range of kayak widths.
Scupper Barb
A one-way Scupper Barb simplifies loading and unloading from a truck bed. Insert the scupper post into the kayak's scupper holes while the kayak overhangs the tailgate — once the barbs pass through the hull, they lock in place and prevent the cart from falling. Intended for loading/unloading only — not for use while the vehicle is in transit.
Compact Storage
Disassembles completely without tools in seconds. In its collapsed state, the cart stores in most kayak hatches — so you don't have to leave it unattended at the water's edge while retrieving your vehicle.
Wheels
3-Piece BeadLoc airless wheels with durable rubber tread, optimized for hard-packed surfaces. Wheels snap in and out with a push of a button. Strap loops built into the wheel hubs accept 1" flat webbing cam straps (not included) for use over rough terrain. Sand tires available separately.
Kickstands
Two kickstands allow upright loading for lighter kayaks (e.g., Hobie Lynx). For heavier models like the Pro Angler or Outback, traditional side-loading is recommended. When not in use, kickstands snap into a locked upright position.
