The Wenonah Wilderness is named in remembrance of Dick Proenneke — the legendary wilderness man who spent 30 years living alone in the wilds of Twin Lakes, Alaska. True to its namesake, this solo canoe is brilliantly designed for extended solo trips: it portages well, paddles efficiently, carries plenty of gear, and delivers a dry ride in rough water. Well-rounded stability and moderate rocker make it an excellent down-river boat, equally at home on a loaded expedition or an evening paddle.
Built in T-Formex — a multi-laminate construction with a closed-cell rigid foam core — the Wilderness is incredibly tough, much lighter than polyethylene or aluminum, and built to last through years of hard use. An ideal choice for sportsmen, wilderness paddlers, and anyone who demands a durable, capable solo canoe.
