ICAST 2019 in Orlando, Florida is billed as the largest sport-fishing tradeshow in the world. It happens annually in July and for us serves as a yearly reminder to how big a space the fishing industry fills in this world. The lights and glamour, the innovations, and the angling community show up and show out all week long.
Day 3 of ICAST burned as hot as the first two days. I spent the day trying to cover more unseen ground and backtracking to look at some things again. Following is a brief overview of what I saw. In the coming week, I'll recap ICAST with my favorites from the show.
On Day 2 of ICAST, the show officially started. The Hype Train was chugging along and there seems to be a kayak in almost every booth! We are taking over.
Day 1 in Orlando dawned a hot one filled with hot new products. ICAST 2019 has begun! The ‘On The Water’ Demo started at 10am and the kayaks were in the water non-stop until 2pm. This will be a quick pic overview of some of the kayaks I saw on the water. We'll follow up over the course of the next two days with more specifics.
