The Perception Pescador Kayak Family

The Perception Pescador 10.0 and Pescador 12.0 Kayaks have long been solid sellers in our warehouses. One of the key factors in that popularity was that the Pescador was basically the original Tarpon Kayak from Wilderness Systems. See, Perception and Wilderness Systems are both Confluence Outdoor brands and manufactured in South Carolina. In the photo above you can see the difference in the Tarpon and Pescador. The far right kayak is a Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120. The middle kayak is the traditional Pescador 12.0 Kayak. The hull shape is basically the same, but above the waterline they are completely different. The Tarpon has more comfort and accessories. But the times they are changing, and people increasingly want a little wider kayak, and the option to do a some fishing if they chose. Enter the newly redesigned Pescador Kayak on the far left. The new Pescador 12.0 has been upgraded with a better hatch, gear tracs, molded in rod holders and more room in deck and tankwell space. it even has some accented bungee for style points. The hull difference between old and new in the 12 foot version is 6olbs. vs 64lbs., and 28"width vs 32.5"width.
