Ocean Kayak debuted the Malibu Pedal at ICAST 2017 this summer, and we got an early look at the kayak. Everyone was excited about the prospect of a Pedal kayak, not geared specifically to anglers. Now you could easily outfit it for serious angling, and no doubt people will, but this was originally intended to entice families and recreational paddlers to the Pedal market. It has 3 cup holders! If that doesn't say "family" I'm not sure what does.

The Malibu Pedal also comes with the tried and true PDL Drive system that we've seen in the Old Town Predator Pedal. There are some gear tracks mounted on the sides, and the excellent and comfortable Element Beach seat.

The Malibu Pedal is 12' ft long, and 34.5" wide. It weighs 100lbs. and has a carrying capacity of 450lbs. The bow tankwell is dog friendly with removable bungees, and the stern tankwell is a perfect place for a child to sit.
