Rivers We Love, OneWheel Action, Kayak Fishing the Chesapeake Bay and Where's Bob?
Check out all the quality content coming from our community of paddlers, both whitewater kayaking and kayak fishing. Tune in, read up and get psyched. This is the Friday's Finds, where we seek to highlight some of the paddlers who call Virginia home. PaddleVa is about all of us. While some of the stuff shared in these posts will come from outside our waters, Virginia will always be the primary focus.
First Up:
Home On The James is a favorite around here. These folks do a great job celebrating the RVA James River scene. Here is another teaser for their video doing just that.

Second Up:
American Rivers highlights and celebrates the Flint River in Georgia with a beautiful video and The Bitter Southerner gives backstory to that video and the subject of protecting our precious resources. Click the link following the photo for the full story and video.

.
Third Up:
The OneWheel has been setting the outdoor world on fire lately. I've used this thing a few times and it is an absolute blast. Here is a video by Jameson Redding, Jackson Kayak Pro, featuring this cool gadget.
.
Fourth Up:
Kayak Kevin, local Ocean Kayak Pro, shows some cool underwater footage from a particularly clear day on the Chesapeake Bay. Check it out.
.
Fifth Up:
Rob Choi, local RVA Ocean Kayak Pro, recently had a good cobia run with a 38" and 51" fish! This video is pretty awesome. Cobia are notorious for going crazy on the deck of a kayak, so anglers will often hammer them to incapacitate them for the paddle back to shore. If a hammer to the dome piece of a big fish is going to upset you, do not watch. If it doesn't bother you, then you have to check it out. Makes me want to go hunt some fresh dinner fare!

And for an extra bonus:
Bob Bernotsky, of Powerteam Lures, was one of the first guys to really help me out when I started kayak fishing. He's long been a fitness nut, and has now become quite the Paleo guru. He has his own website and it's loaded with great advice, recipes and photos. Check out his latest post about Balance by clicking the link below the photo.
