ICAST Day 2: Orlando, Florida is Hot with Fresh Baked Goodnesss
The crew at the YakGear booth continue to innovate the decal game. Game Changer is a word thrown around a lot at ICAST, but what does it mean?
The second day of ICAST 2017 dawned and I found myself hustling from my Airbnb to get into the show for a full day of sight seeing and product scoping. My first Appt. was with Bonafide Kayaks and I visited with the crew and got a few more details on the layout of the newest kid on the block, before hitting the aisles.
Once again I'll give just a quick sensory dose of what caught my eye. I'll deep dive into the ICAST scene and the products on display when I get back home and can process. ICAST on Day 1 can be a bit overwhelming. It is a giant fishing spectacle.
So here's what caught my eye on Day 2:

.
That paddle board / mini-skiff is the Bote Board Rover. It won Best in Show for all of ICAST. Legit. It looks like a whole pile of fun!
.
Clue into this Wilderness Systems photo. There are two things to notice. One of them is a rather interesting, the other is a welcome addition. See if you can dissect the pic and nail which is which.

YakAttack continues to innovate rod holders, etc. The folks from Burkeville, VA are still pushing and making stuff happen. Here's a shot of their latest, universal rod holder that is sure to do well.
.
.
Stopped in at FeelFree Kayaks and got a look at their latest the Dorado, plus the latest in their efforts to capture the pedal/ motor market. The fellas at FeelFree continue to have fun while developing functional equipment. Check out the 8 ball rudder control on the Dorado.
.
.
Checked in with the Astral Designs crew and got hit with a new Brewer 2.0! They took a favorite kick around outdoor/ paddling shoe and added some great flash and function. The new version has some stylish branding and a little more beef to the built.
.
.
The Jackson Kayak Cruise FD was a pleasant surprise. I had no idea it was coming and was psyched to see it revealed. I believe in the recreational pedal market and this kayak plus the idea of brighter colors are valuable asset.

The Yakima SkyRise tent and the awning are straight up a camping game changer. This could be your new pick-up truck set-up for future whitewater or kayak fishing missions and it would make life more enjoyable, for sure. Sorry, did I say game changer? It's actually a lifestyle changer. Check it.

I've got a live video interview with BIC Sup angler Bri Andrassy at 10:30am tomorrow, so check into our Facebook feed for that tomorrow and let me know if there is anything you want to see or hear about. I'll post more comprehensive overviews after the show. Thanks!
