Drawn To Water, Trophy Hunter, Paddle Seriously, Paddling Techniques, and Beyond the Roar
Check out all the quality content coming from our community of paddlers, both whitewater kayaking and kayak fishing. Tune in, read up and get psyched. This is the Friday's Finds, where we seek to highlight some of the paddlers who call Virginia home. PaddleVa is about all of us. While some of the stuff shared in these posts will come from outside our waters, Virginia will always be the primary focus.
First Up:
The folks at NRS ask some essential questions: What is it that draws us to water? To canyons and coastlines and glaciers and lakes? What is it that keeps us dreaming about these places, not thinking about the paper due tomorrow, or next week's presentation, or whatever it is that's stinking up the fridge? What is it that leads us here...

Second Up:
At ICAST last week I was introduced to Will Taylor from the Fly Fishing Co. "Y'all are both bearded dudes, and you take great pictures." After a quick scan of Will's Instagram and FlyFishingCo's page I realized that he's MUCH BETTER than me. So, here's a salute to a cool dude, who can put you on some monsters with a fly rod.

Third Up:
I just thought this little whimsical video from Bending Branches was awesome. I paddle an Expedition Plus Canoe paddle form BB and love it. These guys rock!
.
Fourth Up:
A great paddling technique video from Ken Whiting, World Champion, on different paddle strokes and re-entry into your kayak. Check it out.
.
Fifth Up:
You should just watch this, all of it. Really. It's rad.
