An adventure triathlon to celebrate JROC

Richmond,Virginia: Appomattox River Company, a specialty paddlesports retailer with stores in Farmville, Hampton, and Ashland, has signed on as one of the title sponsors of the King of the James triathlon to be held in Richmond, Virginia on October 22, 2017. The adventure triathlon serves as a fundraiser for the James River Outdoor Coalition (JROC) which works to educate, advise, and make improvements to the James River Park System in downtown Richmond.

Some things to remember about the King of the James:

• It’s an adventure triathlon on an extremely difficult course. Participants should be experienced trail runners, mountain bikers, and whitewater kayakers.
• You are responsible for your own safety. But if you see any one in need of help, please help.
• Because the course is extremely challenging, you can form a team to complete the race.
