Fishing Missions in Florida and Life Lessons

I attended ICast recently for work. It was a great opportunity to see new products in the kayak fishing world and the wider sport-fishing world. But it also gave me the chance to fish some new waters. I headed down to Florida a day early so I could fish in the morning, before the New Product Showcase at ICast.

ICast 2014 Recap: Kayak Fishing Edition – Part 1

I left Farmville, on Sunday, around 9am for the 12 hour drive to Orlando, Florida to attend the 2014 ICast Trade-show. ICast is touted as the largest sport-fishing show in the world. It's designed for retailer buyers and media to see new products in the fishing world. This was Appomattox River Company's first time attending. I was psyched! Many of the kayak vendors we deal with would be on hand with their latest and greatest. I also would have the opportunity to scout out other interesting gadgets and to hang out with a bunch of cool people.

Day 2 and 3 of ICast were full of more great products. I took the opportunity to look at some products we currently do not carry and to revisit the Old Town Booth, as those guys had just won a pile of awards at the New Product Showcase.
